Would you rather walk along a beach or through a forest?
(Are there mosquitoes around? ‘Cause that would affect my choice.) I like a nice interesting nature walk through a forest; it takes me back to my Brownie (Girl Scout) days. I would rather walk on the beach than in a forest. Although I like trees, the sand between your toes and the sound of the waves crashing is so relaxing it would have to be my site of choice for a nice long nature walk.
Would You Rather talk like Yoda or breathe like Darth Vader?
Yoda’s voice makes you stop and think sometimes; however Darth Vader’s voice is frightening, powerful and breathy. Both have interesting qualities, both have positives and both have their drawbacks. In the end, I think… Breathe like Vader rather I would.
Would you rather have free Starbucks forever or free iTunes music for a year?
I do not drink Starbucks but I love music so this one is easy for me. I only drink water so free Starbucks (even if it is “forever”) would be lost on me. I’d happily take a take my free year of music downloads though. Which would you pick, free java forever or free tunes for a year?
Would You Rather have nosy neighbors or noisy neighbors?
I would rather have nosy neighbors. I am a firm believer in the thought, ‘If you don’t want anyone to find out, don’t do it’. Noisiness is annoying, can cause headaches and other stress symptoms. I’d like to think nosy neighbors have good intentions… Who knows, maybe someday their nosiness might be helpful.
Would you rather live in a house boat or in a motor home?
I would rather live in a house boat. While I enjoy road trips and sleep really well in a moving vehicle, I love water and really like being out on the ocean or lake. I think it would be grand fun to be able to rotate between these two options for a while; think of all of the places you could visit! If forced to pick only one though, I would opt for the boat house.
Would you rather be friends with Spider-Man or Superman?
I would rather be friends with Superman. Spider-Man is cool, but I don’t like spiders. Superman is, well, he’s SUPER. He can fly. He has x-ray vision (which is a little creepy). He is an alien, but he has a cool cape and he always does the right thing.
I would rather be Deaf than blind. I took American Sign Language (and was president of the ASL Club for two consecutive years) as my foreign language in high school. As an artist I cannot imagine losing my sight; not being able to see all the wonderful colors and sights of this world would be hard for me. Plus, sign language is so beautiful.
I would rather visit Bora Bora. As a tourism major in college I discovered many places I would like to visit. I would like to eventually visit Iceland. However, I would really like to stay at the Four Seasons Resort in Bora Bora. The waters there are so beautifully blue; it would be like a dream to stay over the water at this resort.
Would you rather hear good new first or bad news first?
I would rather hear the bad news first, get that over with, and move on to the good news. To me, the good news loses its “goodness” when it is followed but the bad news. Bad news followed by good news seems to soften the blow and make the situation, whatever it may be, not quite as dire.
In honor of Earth Day, I pose this as today’s “Would You Rather” question:
Would you rather be a plastic bottle, tin can, piece of paper or glass jar that gets recycled?
I think as long as they are all going to be recycled you can’t really go wrong with any of these fine choices… However, in this game you have to pick one, so I would rather be a glass bottle.
Glass can be recycled in many different ways; it can even be “upcycled” into various art projects. Although, being a piece of paper seems the most natural, and the can, jar and bottle can all be “upcycled”, I think I would still pick a glass jar.
